Being a nerd

Thirty years ago if you had said that you was a Nerd, probably someone would say " Are you insane ?" or something like that . Being a Nerd was a synonymous of idiot , ugly , nonsense among other bad things and bullshits. 
I unfortunately,  was born with serious problems in my vision and ,because that, I've  needed wear glasses . and , of course I wear until now . however this situation gave me immediately a NERD's I.D .
I love comic books , toys , books like  Lord of rings and all written by isaac asimov . Tv shows like Star Trek and movies like Star wars . (look at that the verb is in the present tense)Okay ...( you'll say) YOU are a Nerd . But when I was a little boy being a Nerd isn't a good thing for me ... in special moment when I wanted a Girlfriend . No dates to Nando for long , long , long time. LOL 
Another curious thing ... Thirty years ago didn't have nerd girls ...That was a legend among us (nerds).
OKAY . glasses , comics , books , star trek ... My romantic life wasn't so fine , but I've had the best friends that a guy could have. ( okay ... it's don't justify my terrible teenager) 
But all nerds from my age are adults now a days ( adult isn't the real definition , but ...wherever) and the most of us have a good job , a good life and believe or not , nice wives .
However, I am writing it because I have to say how I hate the 21th century . 
Today . being a Nerd is a charm and a lot of girls are nerds ( when I said girls I would like to say beautiful girls ) . We have a show on TV called The Big Bang Theory ( which I really like) that talk about Nerds . Star Trek and Star wars are a nice thing among  a lot of boys and girls .
I would like to ask for all nerds on the planet if someone of you has got a time machine just to bring up myself to now and give to me a nice moment in my pimply life.

Unfortunately, I was born with serious problems in my vision and ,because of that, I need to wear glasses. If you wore glasses you were immediately labeled as a NERD.
